Dear Classmates,
We
hope that you and your family are healthy this challenging year. We
wanted to share with you the second iteration of the FLi Students
Mentoring Program that we helped launch last summer as our class legacy
project (“FLi Tigers & ‘79 Friends”).
FLi students self-describe themselves as either “first generation or low income” and now represent almost 20% of students.
Our
class was instrumental to getting this program off the ground and will
continue to represent in a meaningful way for years to come. The
expanded 2020 mentoring program is open to all alumni in order to serve
the nearly 200 FLi students who signed up to be mentored through one of
two options: 6 week summer program with three conversations or an
open-ended program that allows as many conversations as the alum &
student desire to have for as long as they wish. Many of us are
continuing to enjoy rewarding conversations with FLi mentees we
connected with last summer, but it’s up to you which path you prefer.
We encourage you to become a FLi mentor by signing up using this link.
Please
feel free to share this email & the sign up link with any alumni
that you believe may be interested in mentoring Princeton students.
Best wishes,
Phil Hueber & Tony Rodríguez
